Virtual God
and the
Prophetic Power Wranglers
by Rev. Michael D. Perry, MBA
INTRODUCTION
IMPORTANT NOTE: This book gives my own personal observation of Bible prophecy and my own opinion and is not to be construed as "Revelations from God."
ABOUT THE TITLE - In the age of Virtual Reality (VR) Computer systems I feel compelled to compare VR to spiritual things. The definition of virtual is "being such in essence or effect though not formally recognized or admitted." Another way to put it is that Virtual Reality is "Almost" Reality. I believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, representing His will and purpose for our existence. I believe it is without error and is "Almost" God. The portion of the title "Virtual God" is a high-tech name for the Bible. Though not God Himself, I look at the Bible as "being such in essence or effect though not formally recognized or admitted."
The second part of the title refers to a Wrangler, or someone who "obtains something by persistently engaging in a prolonged dispute." The words Prophetic and Power clarify what type of wrangler is being discussed. Prophets, men who were divinely inspired to foretell future events, wrote the Bible. These men were faced by people who disputed their words and sometimes put them to death. The Power of their writings stems from the fact that they are 100% accurate in their predictions and that this Power can only come from God. The disputes and arguments are still going on today and there are people called by God to be Prophetic Power Wranglers. So, the generic title of this book is "The Bible and the People of God."ABOUT THE CONTENTS - In order to understand predictions of the future I believe we must examine predictions of the past that have already been fulfilled. In so doing, we can better interpret the unfulfilled ones. Since the discovery of the first prophecies, men have tried to predict the future instead of trying to know Jesus Christ. All prophecies glorify Him and were not written so we could predict the future, but so we would know that He is in control. Bible prophecy is not open to private interpretation, but must be interpreted by the Holy Spirit as the individual reads it. This prevents anyone from having an advantage of so-called "enlightenment" over others. Again, this book gives my own personal observation of Bible prophecy and my own opinion and is not to be construed as "Revelations from God." As the table of contents shows, I have divided this book into seven prophetic chapters: (1) Before Christ, (2) After Christ, (3) The Last Days, (4) The Rapture, (5) The Great Tribulation, (6) The Millennium, and (7) The Aftermath. We must be careful to not bend scriptures to fit our prophetic picture. We must be open to bend our picture to fit the scriptures.
THE PURPOSE OF THIS BOOK is to build your faith in Jesus Christ and to cause you to be a fully devoted follower of Him. If you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus, it is my prayer that you will repent of your sins and ask Him into your heart. I believe Jesus is the Son of God, that he died for my sins, and that God raised Him from the dead.
